Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for maintenance, organization, and leadership? Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly? The Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to help ensure our store and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained for staff, customers, and the community.
What You'll Do:
  • Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of store equipment and systems
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for services like snow removal, landscaping, and pest control
  • Monitor and maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance across the store and grounds
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts and balers safely and efficiently
  • Keep accurate records, help develop preventative maintenance schedules, and innovate solutions to improve our facilities
  • Support staff, provide excellent service, and contribute to a positive work culture

What We're Looking For:
  • Building maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety practices
  • Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and at heights or in tight spaces
