Job description

The Tester Apprentice primary role is to perform acceptance testing of industry leading weapon system technology. This includes assembly and inspections of weapon systems and handling ammunition. Additional responsibilities include equipment operation and general maintenance of vehicles, buildings and grounds.

The Tester Apprentice primary role is to perform acceptance testing of industry leading weapon system technology. This includes assembly and inspections of weapon systems and handling ammunition. Additional responsibilities include equipment operation and general maintenance of vehicles, buildings and grounds.


• Assist in assembly and testing of weapon systems including production qualification, performance acceptance, product improvement, prototype, interchangeability, endurance, and engineering tests in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Position and set up both physical and electronic targets and perform bore site. Determine, analyze and record dispersion, accuracy and statistics as requested.
• Perform receiving and inspection of weapons, weapon systems and documentation prior to test.
• Analyze malfunctions and assist Quality and Engineering in investigating failures
• Perform general maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds to include but not limited to mowing grass, plowing snow, painting, cleaning, trash pickup and operation of applicable equipment.


Required Education: High School Diploma, GED
Desired Education: 
1-2 years of technical and/or equivalent trade school training

Skills/Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have mechanical assembly experience working with hand tools; basic equipment operation; ability to work in a team environment; effective communication; adhere to written procedures; be motivated and self-directed.

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
