Description

The Machine Builder plays a critical role in the assembly and integration of custom automated machinery at JE Technology Solutions. This position is responsible for building high-quality mechanical systems and subassemblies by interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams-including engineers, electricians, and technicians-to deliver reliable, production-ready systems.

This role supports the full machine build lifecycle, including assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and testing, ensuring all equipment meets design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. A strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement are essential to success in this fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Assemble custom automated machinery, subassemblies, and mechanical components based on engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions
  • Install and align mechanical systems including conveyors, pneumatics, actuators, and structural frames
  • Perform drilling, tapping, fitting, and general fabrication as needed
  • Assist with integration of electrical components such as sensors, motors, and control panels
  • Install and field wire electrical components and devices.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly, testing, and system startup
  • Support machine testing, debugging, and validation to ensure proper functionality
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, electricians, and technicians to meet build specifications and deadlines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement in build processes and efficiency

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in machine building, mechanical assembly, or industrial equipment assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and technical documents
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems such as pneumatics, linear motion, bearings, and drives
  • Basic understanding of electrical components and automation systems is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to clients' work sites.
  • Available for work onsite 5 days/week
  • 1st or 2nd Shift availability
