Position
Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for a Mechanic Supervisorposition. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:
8/24/26, 9/10/26 (final)
This class is the supervisory class in the Mechanic series. Incumbents in this class are expected to work under minimal management supervision and instruction, and to exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative while supervising and coordinating the work of staff responsible for performing assignments related to the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems including operation of lift and pump stations. Incumbents may also plan, develop, and implement budgetary plans, safety and training programs, contracts, procedures, routine work assignments and projects, and other maintenance documents or programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a valid California Water Environment Association (CWEA) Mechanical Technologist Grade 3 certificate, or higher.
AND
Two years of full-time paid experience as a lead or supervisor in the maintenance, construction, and repair of mechanical and electrical components of equipment in wastewater treatment plants, potable water systems, lift stations, storm drain pumping stations, or other mechanical facilities with similar systems and equipment.
