Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming, preparing, and packaging various types of meat according to company standards and customer specifications. This position requires knowledge of meat products, safe food handling practices, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. The Meat Cutter will help maintainproduct quality, ensure a clean and sanitary work environment, and support inventory management within the department. Additionally, this role will assist with staffing, stocking, and customer service at both the meat and seafood counters as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience and efficient department operations.Key Responsibilities:Cut, trim, grind, and prepare meat products for display and sale.Package, label, and stock products according to company standards.Assist customers at the meat and seafood counters, including answering questions, providing product recommendations, and fulfilling special orders.Maintain attractive and fully stocked meat and seafood displays.Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory, and minimize shrink.Operate meat processing equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.Work collaboratively with team members to ensure department success.Qualifications:Previous meat cutting or butcher experience preferred.Knowledge of meat cuts, seafood products, processing techniques, and food safety practices.Ability to use knives, slicers, grinders, and other meat preparation equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Flexibility to assist in both meat and seafood departments as business needs require.
