Salary: $45,000 – $60,000 annually

The Opportunity :

Food World Plus is seeking a dedicated and experienced Seafood Department Supervisor to support the Department Head in leading daily operations, ensuring exceptional product quality, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about fresh food retail. You will play a key role in supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, and driving operational excellence within the seafood department.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Support the Department Head in supervising daily operations

  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to Seafood Associates

  • Ensure fair distribution of tasks and efficient workflow execution

  • Lead by example in professionalism, teamwork, and customer service

  • Assist in staff training, onboarding, and performance feedback

  • Schedule team members and delegate work assignments effectively

Product Quality & Food Safety

  • Ensure the highest standards of freshness, quality, and food safety are maintained

  • Monitor product handling, storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards across the department

  • Adhere to all workplace health & safety procedures

Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and providing product knowledge

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally

Inventory & Merchandising

  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation

  • Conduct regular quality checks and control shrink/spoilage

Procurement & Business Support
