From handmade sausages to premium cuts of beef, our Meat department is truly a cut above the rest.

Our Meat Associates play a critical role in this experience by supporting our Butchers, assisting customers with confidence, and ensuring our cases are always fresh, full, and inviting.

Routine Tasks:

  • Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions
  • Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks
  • Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness
  • Package, label, and price self-service items accuratelyโ€ฏ
  • Cut and prepare meat products to Josephโ€™s specifications
  • Take and fulfill custom and special orders for customersโ€ฏ
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and prep surfaces consistently
  • Operate and maintain knives, scales, band saws, grinders, wrapping machines, and other Meat equipmentโ€ฏ
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of ageโ€ฏ
  • Prior meat, grocery, or food service experience preferredโ€ฏ
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructionsโ€ฏ
  • Basic math and reading skillsโ€ฏ

Physical & Work Environment

A Meat Associate works primarily in the Meat department. This role involves walking and standing for extended periods, lifting products up to 80 pounds, and working in both Meat preparation rooms and refrigerated coolers with varying temperatures. Frequent interaction with customers and fellow team members is an essential part of the role.
