Job description

Starting compensation (DOE): $26-$28 per hour
Shift details: Days
Shamrock anticipates closing the application window for this job opportunity on or before December 31, 2026
This position is responsible for cutting, trimming, boning, tying, and grinding meats to portion and prepare meat in cooking form.
Essential Duties:
  • Cutting and trimming boneless, bone in and cutting machine at 95% goal to time and yield product to reduce to cooking cuts such as roasts, steaks, chops, stew cubes, and grinding meat
  • Use of band saw, marelec portioning machine, industrial meat slicer and dicer and ross intervention spray cabinet
  • Cutting and weighing steaks and chops for individual servings
  • Shaping and tying roasts
  • Recording quantity of meat received and issued to cutters
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two-three years related experience and/or training
  • Must have the ability of using cutting utensils and running an electric pallet jack or forklift.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands:
  • Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
