BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking Mental Health Technicians to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Mease Hospital in Dunedin!
Mental Health Technician II Position Details:
  • Facility: Mease Hospital Dunedin
  • Location: Dunedin
  • Status: Full time & Pool, Hourly
  • Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM or 6:45 Am - 7:15 PM
  • Weekend Work: Every Other
  • On Call: No

The Mental Health Technician II Responsibilities:
  • Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
  • Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
  • Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.
  • Promotes coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.

Required Certification/Licensures:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
  • Patient Care Technician - preferred

Required Education:
  • High School or Equivalent
  • Associate's degree in related field - Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred

Required Experience:
  • Mental Health Technician II - Required 6 months of Psychology based experience or bachelor's degree in related field
  • Mental Health Technician Pool - Preferred 6 months of Psychology based experience
