Job Summary

We are looking for Sandwich Toppers & Food Preppers to join our team, topping and prepping Charleys made-to-order cheesesteaks. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Master the toppings and portion sizes for all 13 Charleys cheesesteaks, including limited-time items.
  • Correctly cut and plate fresh grilled cheesesteaks according to size, dine-in/carry-out, and customer requests.
  • Cut, wash, and peel onions, green peppers, lettuce, mushrooms, and other vegetables according to health, safety, and company guidelines.
  • Prep Charleys lemonades. Brew sweet and unsweetened iced tea.
  • Communicate clearly, quickly, and politely with co-workers so our team serves guests a perfect order every time.
  • Quickly and accurately prepare tasty food to delight customers while meeting restaurant, health, and safety rules.
  • Properly and safely operate and maintain equipment to deliver consistent, safe meals for guests, while following all health and safety standards.
  • Strive to deliver consistent quality, exceptional service, cleanliness, and outstanding value for each guest.
  • Moves in and out of walk-in coolers and freezers to place and retrieve items.
  • Unloads, opens, and stocks inventory received multiple times a week.
  • Proactively clean and organize work areas and restock to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Clean topping and prep areas thoroughly throughout the day to ensure a safe, appealing working environment.
  • Wipe down counters, tables, trash receptacles, floors, walls, and restrooms to ensure guests enjoy a clean, safe environment.
  • Remove trash and place it in the dumpster to maintain a clean, comfortable environment.
  • Move food, paper, and cleaning items to support efficient service and timely food preparation.
  • Stock and rotate products as needed.
  • Be friendly and attentive to every customer's needs to create a memorable experience.
  • Promptly informs the immediate supervisor of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by management staff or shift leaders.
Requirements:
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and lift to 30 pounds.
  • Able to work safely around hot and cold cooking equipment.
  • Correctly reads orders from a monitor.
  • Safely handles raw, frozen, and cooked food products.
  • Completes hands-on training and occasional assigned coursework on a computer, tablet, or cell phone.
  • Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure.
  • Be respectful and professional to guests, managers, and teammates.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
