What is an MDS Home professional?

MDS Home professionals are specialists who focus on conducting the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for residents in home health or long-term care settings. Their primary responsibility is to accurately collect and document patient data, which is used to determine care plans, monitor quality, and ensure compliance with federal regulations. By analyzing this data, they help facilities optimize resident outcomes and secure appropriate Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement. These professionals typically work closely with nursing staff, therapists, and administrative teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as an MDS coordinator in home health or long-term care?

To thrive as an MDS Coordinator, you need a deep understanding of clinical assessment, care planning, and Medicare/Medicaid regulations, typically backed by a nursing license (RN or LPN/LVN). Familiarity with MDS 3.0 software, electronic health records (EHRs), and federal documentation standards is essential. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams make someone stand out in this position. These skills ensure accurate data submission, regulatory compliance, and optimal reimbursement for the facility, directly impacting resident care quality.

What are some unique challenges faced by MDS coordinators working in home health settings?

MDS Coordinators in home health settings often encounter challenges such as coordinating assessments across multiple locations, ensuring accurate data collection from diverse home environments, and navigating communication barriers between field staff and interdisciplinary teams. Additionally, they must stay updated with evolving regulations while balancing thorough documentation with timely submission of assessments. These professionals typically collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and case managers to ensure care plans are comprehensive and compliant.

Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, client-facing EVP & Head of Revenue Growth to lead our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, drive top-of-funnel client acquisition, and champion Data Society Group’s continued evolution into a leading Data & AI advisory partner.
In this role, you will report to the CEO and will be an integral member of the executive team. The EVP & Head of Growth will be responsible for overseeing our Sales & Marketing teams and positioning our company as a trusted strategic advisor to C-suite executives who are navigating complex data and AI transformations. While your primary charter is business development and firm growth, you will bring deep domain gravitas to shape high-impact engagements before seamlessly transitioning delivery execution to our Solutions & Workforce Transformation delivery teams.
This is a remote / work from home position that can be based anywhere within the United States with frequent travel to current and prospective client locations plus events and conferences.
Responsibilities
  1. Commercial Leadership & Operations (35%)
    1. Oversee Commercial Teams: Direct, mentor, and align the Sales and Marketing teams to create a unified, high-performing revenue organization.
    2. Build the GTM Engine: Establish repeatable outbound sales motions, inbound marketing funnels, demand generation programs, and strategic alliances
    3. Define Commercial Ops: Establish sales targets, marketing budgets, attribution tracking, CRM rigor, pricing frameworks, and pipeline forecasting to bring predictability to revenue growth.
    4. Brand & Thought Leadership: Direct marketing initiatives to elevate the firm's brand positioning around enterprise AI transformation, C-suite advisory, and change management.
  2. Business Development (35%)
    1. Drive Revenue Origination: Own the annual gross margin and revenue targets for new enterprise advisory engagements.
    2. C-Suite Engagement: Build and leverage high-trust relationships with CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and Chief AI Officers to uncover high-value transformation opportunities.
    3. Lead Consultative Pitches: Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, shifting discussions away from commodity technical staffing toward high-margin strategic advisory.
  3. Strategic Advisory & Transformation Scoping (15%)
    1. Package Core Offerings: Collaborate with internal domain experts to productize and launch core service lines around AI Strategy, LLM / Agentic Deployments, Governance, and Change Management.
    2. Scope Strategic Deals: Lead early-stage discovery, diagnostic workshops, and value-based proposal development for AI adoption.
    3. Executive Oversight: Serve as Executive Sponsor on key strategic accounts, participating in steering committees to protect account health and identify follow-on expansion opportunities.
  4. Strategic Leadership & Delivery Hand-Off (15%)
    1. Seamless Organizational Hand-Off: Partner closely with our Solutions and Workforce Transformation Teams to ensure smooth and achievable transitions from Sales to Delivery.
    2. Data Society Group Governance: Participate as a core member of the executive leadership team to shape company culture, compensation models, and multi-year growth strategy.
Qualifications
  • Proven Commercial Track Record: 10+ years of professional services/consulting experience with a demonstrated history of selling $1.5M–$3M+ deals annually in advisory or consulting services.
  • Sales & Marketing Management: Proven experience managing commercial teams (Sales/Business Development, Brand & Growth Marketing) and building a structured GTM function in a B2B or consulting environment.
  • Data to AI Domain Depth: Strong baseline understanding of modern data architectures paired with deep domain experience in enterprise AI adoption (AI readiness, use-case prioritization, ROI modeling, and AI governance).
  • Consultative Selling Mastery: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical capabilities into business outcomes for non-technical executive buyers.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Thrives in a matrixed environment where commercial success relies on tight operational alignment with delivery-focused MDs.
  • Change Management: Successful history of leading teams through change.
If you are a visionary leader passionate about leveraging data and AI to transform businesses, we encourage you to apply!
