McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate harm out of the built environment and creating lasting impact. Together, we're building a thriving planet.

The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Senior Account Executive to our growing Facility Operations division in Tampa, FL.

Are you a driven and highly motivated sales professional passionate about the built environment? We seek a dynamic and experienced Account Executive to join our team of high-performing, solutions-selling sales professionals. • Mentor and coach junior Account Executives; contribute to team playbook and GTM strategy in an evolving FO market
  • Represent McKinstry at industry events and build executive-level relationships across key vertical decision-makers
  • Developing and executing a sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Delivering consultative sales solutions to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and innovations and sharing this knowledge with clients

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • 8+ years of proven sales experience with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding targets. Or, have personal network and purchasing experience coming from the buyers' side within local government, K-12, higher education or healthcare.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, architecture, or equivalent business experience required.
  • Advanced consultative and strategic selling skills; ability to lead executive-level engagements
  • Deep knowledge of Facility Operations market, target verticals (K-12, healthcare, municipal, higher ed), and public procurement methods
  • Proven track record of $1M+ annuity bookings and complex contract closings
  • Ability to develop and communicate multi-year account growth strategies
  • Mentoring and knowledge-transfer capabilities
  • Familiarity with ESPC, cooperative purchasing, RFP/RFQ, and qualification-based selection
  • Knowledge of building infrastructure systems, facility management, and critical facilities such as data centers required.
  • A deep understanding of the built environment and the challenges faced by our clients
  • Strong consultative sales skills and the ability to build relationships and trust with key stakeholders
  • The ability to understand and articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical clients
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
