The Position: We are looking for a Correctional Services Clinical Supervisor, who is willing to embrace McKinley's mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Correctional Services Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical functions within McKinley's Correctional Services Program to ensure the delivery of quality client care, foster professional development among clinicians, and uphold agency policies and procedures.
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range we're offering is $95,000 - $110,000 annually depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications:
  • Valid licensure or registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW)
  • Minimum of 2 years post-BBS licensure
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in county -contracted or publicly funded mental health settings
  • Supervisory experience (minimum 2 years preferred), including provision of clinical supervision toward licensure
  • Demonstrated experience working with severely and persistently mentally ill (SPMI) populations
  • Preferred: Experience working with justice-involved, forensic, or correctional populations, including custody-based service delivery
  • Proficiency in word processing, email, and internet navigation
  • Ability to learn and effectively use electronic health records and clinical documentation systems
  • Basic office skills (typing, telephone etiquette, copier/scanner use)
  • Must pass pre-employment physical examination, TB clearance, and drug screening
  • Ability to regularly report on-site to Twin Towers Correctional Facility.
  • Ability to commute between multiple program sites as required
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, to meet program and custody-based operational needs
  • DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Index clearance
  • Insurability under McKinley Children's Center Corporate Automobile Insurance
  • Clearance and compliance with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department custody requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Supervision & On-Site Oversight
    • Maintain a consistent on-site supervisory presence at Twin Towers, ensuring real-time clinical guidance, staff support, and coordination with custody partners
    • Provide individual and group supervision for Mental Health Clinicians in accordance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and agency policy
    • Conduct live and scheduled group observations within custody settings to assess clinical facilitation skills, adherence to curriculum, therapeutic engagement, and safety practices
    • Provide timely feedback, coaching, and corrective guidance following group observations and chart reviews
  • Clinical Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure clinicians deliver services in alignment with evidence-based practices, County requirements, and McKinley standards
    • Review, monitor, and approve clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance
    • Collaborate with the Quality Systems and Compliance Department to address documentation trends, audits, corrective action plans, and training needs
    • Monitor program adherence to requirements of all governing and oversight bodies
  • Staff Development & Support
    • Support clinician professional growth through mentorship, skills development, and structured supervision
    • Assist clinicians in developing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented treatment plans appropriate for custody environments
    • Identify training needs related to correctional mental health, crisis response, group facilitation, and risk management
  • Collaboration & Program Coordination
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration with custody staff, County partners, program managers, and other departmental supervisors
    • Support operational problem-solving related to custody workflows, staffing coverage, and clinical service delivery challenges
    • Promote consistency and mutual support across McKinley programs serving justice-involved populations
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Monitor and review agency protocols and clinical practices to ensure continued relevance and compliance
    • Participate in meetings, case conferences, and County-requested activities as required
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
