Job description

Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule

Several full-time positions available with Aviation Department - Bus Operations Division
Location: 400 Panama City Ave
Pay: $18.37-$28.01 per hour
Schedule: Shifts based on operational needs, Mandatory Overtime may be required

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transports passengers between the terminals and parking facilities at the airport observing all operating and safety procedures.
  • Responds to customer inquiries in a concise and courteous fashion.
  • Assists passengers who need assistance in entering and exiting the vehicles.
  • Fuels assigned vehicle as needed and maintains fuel records.
  • Cleans interiors and exteriors of vehicles in preparation for passenger service.
  • Assists elderly or handicapped passengers to board or debark from assigned vehicle.
  • May be required to enter restricted areas to provide transportation between planes and terminals
  • Performs safety checks around the bus.

Qualifications
REQUIRES
  • High school graduation and six (6) months of experience driving multi-passenger motorized vehicles with a capacity of 15 passengers or more OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Must possess a valid State-issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies
  • Possession of a Class B CDL
  • Ability to obtain passenger endorsement and airbrake qualification within first 30 days of employment
  • Ability to pass a physical examination, preemployment drug screen, and background check as prescribed by the City
  • Ability to pass 10-year TSA Background Check

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
