Job Description

The U.S. Client Marketing team, part of the North America Marketing organization, is transforming how we become the marketing partner of choice with our Clients which include financial institutions, fintechs, merchants and processors.

The Director will lead business development and delivery of data-driven marketing initiatives for one of Visa's top U.S. Issuing clients, including credit, debit, Small Business and Commercial products. The strategies will drive Visa purchase volume, Value Added Services revenue and overall client engagement.The ideal candidate deeply understands the changing payments marketing environment, has payment marketing consulting experience, and is driven to create breakthrough work across all channels. A successful candidate will demonstrate astrong strategic mindset, amazing communication skills, and client service mentality. We seek experienced, proactive, high-achieving professionals to build marketing solutions with and for our clients.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Marketing Services, and will lead the efforts of one (1) Marketing Manager.
Essential Functions:

  • You will leverage industry and Visa data, market research, best practices, etc. to gather and synthesize deep audience insights and deliver relevant recommendations to clients/stakeholders
  • You will develop strategic project proposals to engage clients in Visa Marketing Services
  • You will present sales pitches, client updates, campaign results and more to an executive audience.
  • You will work cross-functionally across Marketing, Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA), Sales, Product and Innovation teams to deliver as One Visa
  • You will design and oversee the successful execution of integrated B2C and B2B campaign activations, across multiple channels, including digital, social, OOH, experiential/event and point-of-sale
  • You will coordinate communication with sales, legal, product, creative, sponsorship, experiential & media agencies and implement high-impact programs on-time and on-budget.
  • You will optimize Visa Consumer and Commercial Marketing platforms/initiatives for Clients
  • You will leverage Visa's iconic sponsorship platforms (Olympics, FIFA World Cup), as appropriate, to achieve client and Visa's objectives
  • You will lead the measurement, analysis, and reporting of marketing program performance and its impact on business results
  • You will support new business development, RFPs and renewals as the business demands
  • You will develop and manage marketing contracts
  • You will develop and manage Value Added Services Revenue forecast for key clients and your P&L
  • You will oversee budget management and financial discipline for all campaigns
  • You will lead a team of one Marketing Manager

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

You have 12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD)

10 or moreyears business experience, with majority in marketing/advertising or consulting roles; strong experience in client/account management

You have solid experience in B2C and B2B marketing and strategic partnership development; payments experience is highly preferred

You have significant experience in marketing in the financial services or payments sector, working in a fast-moving, complex environment.

You have a track record for delivering holistic, insight-driven marketing solutions across the payments lifecycle.

You are strategic, innovative, collaborative, and identify opportunities to deliver meaningful ROI.

You have a strategy-led consultative marketing approach to drive measurable impact for clients

You demonstrate strong business & financial acumen, critical thinking, project management and problem-solving skills

You're able to identify strategic and creative opportunities to drive growth and measureable impact

You have exceptional teambuilding and relationship-building skills and experience in leading through influence

You have prior experience in managing creative, experiential/event, media, and social/digital agency partners

You have experience activating sponsorships to drive business results

Ability to generate and manage work-back timelines and navigate risks/obstacles

Ability to work effectively with partners in complex, matrixed organizations

You have strong executive presence; excellent written and verbal communication skills

You are proficient on all Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and Outlook

The estimated salary range for this positionis $163,500 to $307,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
