POSITION SUMMARY

The VP – Finance/Practice CFO is responsible for leading and managing the practice operations finance function. The candidate will be a strategic advisor and business partner to the SVP – Operations, as well as the broader practice leadership team and clinical governance board.

Job Highlights ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as a strategic partner to the SVP as a collaborative member of the practice leadership team. Actively participates in the development and implementation of the strategic plan to advance the practice’s growth and profitability. Provides guidance and assistance to operations in identifying key drivers for their financial and operating success.
  • Administers the Partner Compensation plan and collaborates with the finance committee and CGB to model and analyze modifications as necessary.
  • Collaborates with the SVP and CGB to inform the partner physicians of finance activities and strategic direction.
  • Supports the SVP in the development and execution in achieving EBITDA growth objectives.
  • Acts as a trusted partner to USAP physicians.
  • Plays a key role in the company’s internal operations. “Hands-on” and detail oriented while balancing the “big picture” and communicates effectively.
  • Drives excellence in financial systems and controls.
  • Effectively communicates to ensure transparent reporting and planning.
  • Ensures accurate reporting of financial statements and makes certain that the appropriate analysis of financial metrics occurs and is being properly considered in the running of the business.
  • Inspires, leads, mentors, measures, and appraises the practice finance team to ensure stellar capabilities at all levels. Helps drive a culture of financial accuracy and accountability, and attracts, develops, and retains a world class finance organization.
  • Acts as a strong, trustworthy, and reliable team player. Possesses the ability to collaborate effectively and partners closely with senior leaders across the organization to achieve company goals.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/requested.
Qualifications KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance is required.
  • MBA and CPA certification highly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years overall experience and 5 years financial management experience in a healthcare company, preferably group practice management.
  • Established track record of success in finance positions of increasing responsibility.
