Job description

Are you a Mazda Master Technician with a knack for taking a diagnostic approach to problem-solving? We seek a mechanically minded individual looking for an opportunity to join an efficient auto service center team! Our successful automotive master technician candidate understands vehicle electrical and computer systems and can properly diagnose and perform repairs. Compensation:

$100,000 - $200,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Follow a checklist-based approach to comprehensively examine all vehicle systems, such as the engine, transmission, air conditioning, and brake systems
  • Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools
  • Create protocols for tracking diagnostic tests and repairs, acquiring necessary technical manuals, and more throughout our dealerships
  • Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process
  • Facilitate customer satisfaction and repeat business by following all manufacturer specifications for vehicle systems repairs
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Independently troubleshoot highly complex drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues, particularly those requiring CAN network analysis
  • Complex Repairs: Execute heavy-duty powertrain, transmission, and structural repairs in accordance with Mazda’s strict manufacturer specifications and warranty standard

Qualifications:
  • Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Strong customer service and communications skills are needed
  • Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal
  • Must have achieved the highest level of Mazda-certified or Mazda Master Technician training, usually verified by passing a rigorous pass/fail diagnostic test at a Mazda Technical Training Center
