Direct Hire / Full-TimeHireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Technician (MET) - CNC Programmer/Machinist on behalf of a valued client partner in the precision medical device manufacturing sector. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this Manufacturing Engineering Technician (MET) - CNC Programmer/Machinist opportunity.We are seeking a senior-level CNC leader who can own machining processes, develop CNC programs, optimize production cells, and drive quality and efficiency in a highly regulated environment. This role requires advanced programming capability, hands-on machining expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to support new product introductions while mentoring shop-floor talent.HireNow Disqualifier: Candidates with jumpy or unstable resumes will not be accepted or interviewed. We are prioritizing professionals with consistent tenure, advanced technical capability, and measurable production leadership experience.Key Responsibilities
  • Define machining processes and create CNC programs for precision components
  • Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot Mazak and/or Swiss CNC platforms
  • Lead machinists and manufacturing assistants within assigned production cells
  • Perform First Article Inspections and advanced precision inspections
  • Create and maintain setup sheets, SOPs, work instructions, and process controls
  • Drive quality, throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery performance
  • Support new product introductions, prototype transitions, and process development initiatives
  • Analyze tooling, cycle times, and machine performance for continuous improvement
  • Ensure adherence to blueprint specifications, GD&T, and regulatory quality standards
  • Mentor team members on machining best practices and technical problem-solving
Required Qualifications (Highly Important)
  • 8+ years of production machining experience
  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience in manufacturing environments
  • Expert-level CNC machining and programming skills
  • Strong CAD/CAM proficiency with ability to program complex parts from drawings/models
  • Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Experience leading machinists or overseeing work cells in production settings
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across setups, tooling, programming, and process flow
  • Ability to maintain quality standards in a regulated, precision environment
  • Stable employment history with clear progression; candidates with jumpy resumes will not be considered
