Job description

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Role description:

At Arcadis, we are delivering some of the most transformative, asset management led and digitally enabled modernization programs in the world at a number of high-profile, asset-intensive organizations.

Within our Digital Intelligence Practice, we seek to create long-term partnerships with major transportation and infrastructure organizations to help them modernize enterprise platforms, implement enterprise asset management (EAM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and enterprise decision analytics (EDA) solutions, and create sustainable, data-driven continuous improvement of their assets, people and overall business.

We combine deep industry knowledge with advanced digital capabilities - spanning enterprise asset management, data engineering, cloud platforms, analytics, and AI - to improve performance across the full asset lifecycle from strategy, planning, design, build, operate & maintain, and renewal.

A critical enabler of this transformation is data. We are seeking a Senior Maximo Consultant with deep expertise in complex enterprise data migrations and asset data transformation to lead high-impact workstreams within multi-year modernization programs.

This is not a technical data extraction role; this is an opportunity to shape how enterprise asset data is structured, governed, migrated, and optimized for the next generation of transportation systems.

Role accountabilities:

You will lead enterprise-scale Maximo enterprise asset management (EAM) data migration and transformation initiatives, including:

  • Legacy system rationalization.
  • Asset hierarchy redesign.
  • Master data governance alignment.
  • Large-volume migration into IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
  • Enterprise data model harmonization across ERP, GIS, and operational systems.

You will operate at the intersection of consulting, data architecture, and EAM domain leadership.

You will be working within highly complex transportation environments undergoing enterprise modernization which will include:

  • Cloud-based MAS deployments.
  • Multi-system integration landscapes (ERP, GIS, data platforms, operational systems).
  • Legacy system rationalization.
  • Enterprise data transformation and harmonization initiatives.
  • Regulatory and governance-driven environments.

This is an opportunity to contribute to infrastructure programs that have long-term societal impact and directly improve the reliability, sustainability, and resilience of public transportation systems at a time when funding budgets are under increasing pressure.

        Lead Complex Data Workstreams:

  • Own and lead end-to-end Maximo data migration strategy across discovery, profiling, cleansing, transformation, and validation phases.
  • Design and govern migration frameworks for multi-million record datasets.
  • Define data quality standards, governance controls, progress tracking and reconciliation processes.
  • Oversee cutover planning and migration execution within large program environments.

          Shape Enterprise Asset Data Strategy:

  • In conjunction Arcadis and client SMEs redesign asset hierarchies and master data structures aligned to future-state operating models.
  • Lead workshops to rationalize legacy asset and maintenance data.
  • Align asset data with ERP, GIS, and analytics platforms.
  • Establish sustainable data governance and stewardship frameworks.

           Architect Data Transformation Solutions:

  • Design ETL/ELT pipelines and transformation logic supporting Maximo and MAS deployments.
  • Define migration architecture leveraging cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
  • Guide tooling decisions across orchestration, data quality, and automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with integration architects to ensure alignment between transactional and master data flows.

    Advise & Influence:

  • Serve as trusted advisor to client leadership on enterprise data risks and transformation strategies.
  • Present data migration roadmaps, quality metrics, progress and readiness assessments to senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively engage with client asset and data SMEs to ensure ownership, accountability and timely delivery of client led activities and deliverables.
  • Quantify and mitigate program risk associated with legacy data complexity.

Qualifications & Experience:

We are seeking consulting professionals who combine:

  • Deep IBM Maximo / MAS platform experience.
  • Enterprise-scale data migration leadership.
  • Structured consulting methodology.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capability.

You likely bring:

  • Extensive experience leading complex Maximo data migrations within large asset-intensive organizations achieving successful outcomes against a defined scope of delivery.
  • Proven delivery of multi-system migrations (legacy EAM, ERP, CMMS, spreadsheets, GIS, etc.).
  • Experience designing asset hierarchies, classification structures, and master data governance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Maximo data model, relationships, and integration framework.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT tooling and orchestration (e.g., Azure Data Factory, dbt, Airflow, Informatica, custom pipelines).
  • Experience in regulated and/or transportation environments.

Preferred experience:

  • Experience supporting Maximo 7.6 MAS transformations.
  • Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD approaches in enterprise EAM.
  • Knowledge of asset performance, reliability, and predictive maintenance frameworks.
  • Contribution to business development or proposal leadership.
