Job Description

Located where Lake Michigan meets the Calumet River, QSL America - NASCO is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Clerk to support our maintenance and operations teams in Chicago. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating work orders, inventory, purchasing, vendor communication, and maintenance planning while working closely with technicians and operational leadership.

This position plays a critical role in helping ensure maintenance activities remain organized, efficient, and aligned with operational and safety objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage maintenance work orders within Maximo
  • Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and support maintenance planning activities
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding parts, service requests, quotes, and delivery timelines
  • Assist with inventory tracking, replenishment, and organization
  • Support purchasing coordination, invoice follow-up, and PO approvals
  • Review Daily Inspection Sheets to assist with maintenance backlog planning
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance-related administrative activities
  • Work closely with maintenance technicians and leadership to support daily operations

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Previous administrative or maintenance support experience preferred
  • Experience with Maximo or other CMMS systems preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or operational environment
  • Attention to detail and strong data entry accuracy
  • Experience with inventory, purchasing, or vendor coordination is a plus
