Job Summary
McKee Foods is seeking a Truck & Trailer Washer (internally titled Vehicle Utility Service) team member to join our Fleet Maintenance department. In this role, you will be responsible for washing, fueling, and cleaning the interior and exterior of our fleet tractors and transportation vehicles. By keeping our equipment clean, fueled, and ready to go, you will help minimize operational delays and maintain McKee Foods' high standard of brand visibility on the road.
Key Responsibilities
  • Fuel tractors and other company vehicles efficiently and safely
  • Wash tractors and trailers using designated wash facilities and equipment
  • Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning of tractors, trailers, and fleet vehicles
  • Safely maneuver and park tractors and trailers across McKee Foods property
  • Service vehicle fluids in company vehicles as needed
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance repairs
  • Generate work orders in the maintenance computer system and log stock/issued parts.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a McKee Foods lift truck license
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Basic computer operation skills
  • Strong perception, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in fueling/maneuvering tractor-trailers
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Yard Truck Operator License
  • Experience with IBM Maximo or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems

Physical Demands
  • Active Movement: Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach overhead, and climb in and out of truck cabs and wash bays throughout the shift.
  • Lifting & Handling: Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or carry tools, wash hoses, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to comfortably handle wash sprayers, scrub brushes, hand tools, and operate computer terminals for data entry.

Working Conditions
Work Environment: Exposure to wet or humid conditions, wash chemicals/soaps, hot/cold water, and operating machinery. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate to loud.
