Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Maximo SME/Lead Data Migration Architect.
Summary:
The candidate will lead the end-to-end data migration workstream for Maximo Manage and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) implementations. This role will be responsible for defining migration strategy, ensuring data quality, designing migration architecture, and leading data conversion activities from planning through go-live. The role is both technical and functional.
Responsibilities:
* Own the data migration strategy, scope, roadmap, and execution plan
* Define migration waves, mock conversions, cutover activities, and go-live readiness criteria
* Lead source system analysis, data profiling, mapping, and transformation design
* Develop and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation and transformation rules
* Design and oversee migration pipelines, staging environments, and data load processes
* Ensure proper sequencing and validation of migrated data within Maximo
* Establish data quality standards, governance processes, and reconciliation procedures
* Coordinate data cleansing and remediation activities with business and technical teams
* Lead migration testing, mock loads, issue resolution, and production cutover activities
* Partner with business stakeholders, source system owners, architects, and project leadership
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of enterprise data migration experience
* 4+ years of experience supporting IBM Maximo or Maximo Application Suite (MAS) implementations
* Experience leading data migration workstreams on at least two full lifecycle Maximo implementations
* Strong knowledge of Maximo data structures, business objects, domains, and Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)
* Hands-on experience with data mapping, transformation, profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation
* Strong SQL skills with Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or similar databases
* Experience with ETL and migration tools, data staging environments, and bulk data loading
* Working knowledge of Python, SQL scripting, XML, JSON, and Git
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with IBM Integrated Data Tool (IDT) and Maximo data conversion methodologies
* Background in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) data, including Assets, Locations, Work Orders, Inventory, Purchasing, and Labor
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
