Job description

Crenshaw Christian Center has an immediate full-time opening for a Landscape Gardener. You will be performing physical activities for landscaping/gardening that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Running maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, electrical lawn mowers, tree trimmers or water systems.

  1. Manual Dexterity -- The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  2. Static Strength -- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
  3. Stamina -- The ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath.
  4. Controlling operations of equipment or systems
  5. Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment and hazardous chemicals
  6. Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
  7. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  8. Ability to lift and manually lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
