Job description

Pharmacy Technician II

Hourly Pay Range: $19.62 - $30.41 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL
  • Full Time - 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Evening Shift (2pm -10:30pm & 3pm-11:30pm); Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and 1/2 of scheduled holidays required

What you will need:

  • Education (Required): High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certifications (Required): Current License as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois. One of the following must be met:
    • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification or must obtain CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) within 90 days of hire, or
    • Successfully passed the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) examination pending certification, or
    • Current Pharmacy Technician license with "Student" designation issued by the State of Illinois
  • IV room experience preferred

What you will do:

Assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
