Job description

Plans Mobility Analyst

Firebird AST is accepting applications for an onsite TS/SCI cleared Plans Mobility Analyst to provide operational logistics and transportation planning expertise in support of joint deployment and distribution operations across the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).

*** Pending contract award. Award anticipation December 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor key intra-theater airlift requirements and capabilities, providing analytical expertise in support of CDDOC and CENTCOM Strategic Movement Center (SMC) initiatives to improve theater distribution performance and resource allocation.
  • Recommend data-driven solutions to theater distribution challenges by applying advanced analysis techniques, identifying root causes, and recommending feasible and effective courses of action.
  • Assess transformation technologies and tools to determine their applicability and effectiveness in enhancing deployment and distribution operations within the USCENTCOM AOR, providing assessments to support modernization initiatives.
  • Synchronize deployment and distribution data between the AMD and USCENTCOM staff to maintain a shared operational picture and support cohesive planning and execution.
  • Publish data-driven materials, including briefings and reports, that educate and inform senior theater leadership on the utilization, trends, and optimization of intra-theater airlift assets to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assess the effectiveness of CDDOC support functions, analyzing operational impact on theater-level logistics performance and providing feedback to improve future mission execution.
  • Update and distribute the bi-weekly "Camel Gram" publication, highlighting significant trends, key metrics, and operational focus areas related to CENTCOM intra-theater movement to maintain awareness and guide theater logistics priorities.
  • Provide synchronization of strategic, operational, and tactical-level metrics to ensure integrated understanding of movement operations, enabling data-informed planning and execution across command levels.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Proficient in the use of the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES), including manipulation and interpretation of Time-Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD), to support operational planning and execution functions.
  • In the last five years, must have experience with the Intra-Theater Airlift Request System (ITARS); Joint Planning and Execution System (JOPES) (or the program or record system); Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES); Single Mobility System (SMS); and Consolidated Air Mobility Planning System (CAMPS).
  • IAT Level I Professional Certification
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools; brief materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Work independently with minimal oversight; provide thorough and completed products.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Education

· Bachelor's Degree in any related field.

Clearance

· Active DoW TS/SCI.
