Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Department of Mathematical Science as a Teaching Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Employment is contingent upon funding.
Responsibilities

• Develop and create OER resources to support faculty instruction and enhance student learning outcomes
• Review faculty-created instructional videos and provide constructive feedback
• Design educational posters and develop an oral presentation on the topic of reflections for instructional and academic outreach purposes

Shift Specifics

• Up to 5 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Shifts available Monday, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education

• Completed Math 2008

Proposed Salary
$15.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
