Astra Controls, LLC is an engineering service provider specialized in automation process and assemblies. Our services range from project management to design, integration, debug and training services.

Job Summary

The selected candidate will travel to customer sites to provide Service & Technical support including troubleshooting, installation, hardware/software design, robot programming and training on various types of industrial automation equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance
  • Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
  • Debug and servicing of electrical components.
  • Inspect robotics and their mechanical installations, performance and construction
  • Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
  • Programming and Troubleshooting HMI (Human Machine Interface) equipment, writing new PLC and HMI applications per customer requirements
  • Exceed customer expectations in implementing a collaborative team approach, expertise, and seamless integration of services that include project engineering, hardware/software design, robot programming, integration, start-up, debug, system training and field service/support
  • AutoCAD design, panel design and layout, bill of materials, wiring schematic, red-lining, and PI&D drawings
  • Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports Analyze costs of production

Education & Experience

  • Electrical Engineering Degree required. Mechatronics/Industrial Degree programs considered.
  • Knowledge or education in electrical circuits, schematic reading, design, project management and troubleshooting.
  • Mathematical skills in geometry and trigonometry.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Microsoft Windows ™ Operating system and PC experience.
  • Microsoft Office application experience such as Word and Excel.
  • Travel required - approximately 80%

A very competitive wage, overtime pay, per diem will all be paid, and all expenses will be covered for the successful candidate.
