Civil Engineer Muskegon, MI
We have an immediate opening for a highly-skilled and experienced Civil Engineer. You will collaborate with our engineering teams to oversee the design and construction of various municipal structures. From the planning stages through the construction process, you will supervise and guide staff to ensure the structure is built properly and meets all safety regulations. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years of professional engineering experience and a substantial portfolio of successful design projects.
Civil Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, plans, and other relevant information for project planning
  • Submitting permit applications for projects with multiple regulations to appropriate local, state, and federal agencies
  • Budget construction costs and risk analysis for projects
  • Perform tests on materials to ensure quality for projects
  • Design and implement plans and simulations using 2-D or 3-D computer software to plan transportations systems, hydraulics, structural sound framework, and other facilities to the highest standards
  • Oversee survey operations for construction

Civil Engineer Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Current Professional Engineer(PE) license
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Substantial portfolio of successful design projects
