Job description

Salary:ย  In accordance to the Teamsters Contractย 

2026/2027 hourly rate range $20.22 - $25.13

Period of Employment:ย  Full Time School Year 33.75 hours per week

Reports to:ย  Building Administrator/Special Services Director

Performance Responsibilities:ย 

  1. Assist students with instruction under the direction of a special education teacher.
  2. Assist teacher staff in the implementation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
  3. May need to assist with transitioning students to and/or from buses; when necessary, physically assist students out of or into vehicles of transportation.
  4. May need to assist students with specific physical or behavioral needs through transitions within the classroom or school. ย 
  5. Other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

Candidate should hold an Associate's degree or 2 years of college credit or pass a State Board of Education adopted paraprofessional assessment, which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading and writing and an understanding of how to assist in the instruction of these topics.ย
