$45,000-60,000 Depending on Licensure FT or PT

Discovery Ranch South is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Math Teacher to join our educational team. Our organization is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students who are undergoing therapeutic treatment. As a Math Teacher at Discovery Ranch South, you will play a vital role in helping students in grades 7-12 develop their mathematical skills, build confidence, and achieve academic success while also contributing to their overall healing journey. Small class sizes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging math instruction aligned with state curriculum standards.
  • Develop and adapt individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess and track student progress in mathematical understanding.
  • Coordinate with therapists and support staff to integrate academic goals with therapeutic practices.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation and interaction.
  • Maintain clear and constructive communication with students, parents, and team members.
  • Provide additional support and resources to help students overcome academic challenges.
  • Oversee teaching assistants to provide individualized academic instruction for each student.

Requirements

  • Able to pass criminal investigation background checks.
  • Able to pass motor vehicle record checks.
  • Current Utah driver's license (required within 30 days of employment).
  • 1st Aid & CPR certified (training provided).
  • Aegis certified (training provided).
  • Valid Utah teaching license in secondary mathematics.
  • Prior teaching experience, particularly with middle and high school students, is preferred.
  • Experience in therapeutic settings or with at-risk youth is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for math education and supporting student growth.
