The job will be located at our production site in Iron County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.


We are seeking Production Operators (FIRST SHIFT) to work in various areas of our Mill.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Performs various positions throughout the production area such as defect saw operation, or strapping bundles of flooring, nesting and/or stacking of materials.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Showing a willingness and flexibility to perform various job assignments that may change daily.
  • Maintains the work area in a clean orderly condition; Follow the 5S program to ensure areas are organized and cleaned.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and perform tasks in safe, responsible manner.
  • Understand and support the ISO 9001/ISO 14001 Integrated Management System.
  • Follow the operational practices as defined by the Work Instructions for the job.
  • Attend and participate in all Company sponsored training programs as required.
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance.

Requirements

We seek the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • 6 months experience on production floor of manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with power tools a plus.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to read, write and apply simple math skills.
  • Ability to work with people who have different abilities.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks independently.
  • Requires standing, stooping, bending, and carrying for entire shift (excluding break times)
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, and pulling, and fine manipulation.
