We are currently seeking a motivated and analytically driven Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Chattanooga, TN. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth and success by optimizing procurement processes and supporting new product development.


Key Responsibilities


- Support sourcing activities for both new product development (NPD) and ongoing production procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective supply chain operations.

- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet quality, cost, delivery, and service requirements.

- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to align sourcing strategies with project needs.

- Conduct market research and analyze supplier performance to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.

- Assist in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies that support company goals and industry standards.


Skills and Qualifications


- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.

Requirements:

Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment or high-tech industry experience
  • Experience with Electrical and Battery commodities
  • Strong in MS Office Software
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical and design documentation, the design cycle, and multilevel Bill of Materials
  • Experience in analyzing, selecting/recommending, approving and auditing suppliers for different product platforms within a manufacturing environment, based upon supplier capability relative to designing, supporting, quality and manufacturing
  • Experience developing and implementing commodity strategies
  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships to collaboratively execute business strategies
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, reasoning, problem solving and organizational and project management skills
