Job description

The Maintenance position performs repair and preventative maintenance tasks on operational equipment, building, and grounds.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm
Compensation: $21 during the 90-day probationary period, $33.40/hr after probationary period.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 
 
Essential Primary Responsibilities:
  • Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.
  • Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose issue.
  • Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
  • Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
  • Cleans and lubricates parts.
  • Coordinates and/or assists in outside repair services.
  • Orders replacement parts.
  • Inspects complete repairs.
  • Maintains records of repair and maintenance.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned.

  • Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
  • Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.
  • Notifying management when parts orders are needed for repairs

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Utilize and operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assignments/maintenance. Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and usable manner. 
 
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
  • Stooping, standing, and manual dexterity
  • Light lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)
  • Heavy lifting (frequent 25 lbs+)
  • Assigned safety equipment must be worn at all times (hard hat, safety shoes with metatarsal, safety glasses with side shields, gloves, arm guards)
  • Frequent exposure to mechanical moving parts
 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Required Experience: Type, Skills, and Years:
  • Two years of warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of all warehouse equipment and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse environment 
  • Basic measurement competency
  • Basic math competency
  • Strong work ethic
 
Required Specialized Certifications:
  • Capable of being certified in assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.)
 
Required Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One-year of maintenance experience
  • PC literacy
