Job description

AutoZone's Internship Program is designed to give students a challenging, hands-on experience in the corporate retail industry.

This internship focuses on Process Improvement and Analytics, supporting large-scale transformation efforts across Digital and Marketing operations. You will help document and redesign processes, leverage data to identify root causes, and assist in automating workflows and analytics reporting. The role is centered on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enabling teams to more effectively achieve long-term goals.

What we are Looking for: 

  • Must be a current rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student enrolled into a college or university at the time of Summer 2026 Internship Program (June 2026 - August 2026) 
    • Those graduating before June 2, 2026 are not eligible for the internship
  • Must be able to live in Memphis for a minimum of two months during Summer 2026

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Support cross-functional workshops, working sessions, and process design initiatives 

  • Identify inefficiencies such as waste, delays, rework, and bottlenecks 

  • Develop and execute data collection plans to support root cause analysis 

  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into clear problem statements 

  • Assist in creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process playbooks 

  • Help automate workflows, analytics reporting, and intake processes
