Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Secondary Teaching Certificate
- Valid Special Education Licensure
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (current/eligible)
- Classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within mathematics
- Strong understanding of both general education math curriculum and Special Education best practices
- Effective communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Co-teach a designated math class within a special education setting, implementing differentiated strategies
- Collaborate closely with a general education math teacher to adapt instruction and assessments
- Develop and monitor IEPs, providing ongoing support to ensure student progress
- Foster engagement, motivation, and self-confidence among students with varying academic needs
- Meet regularly with instructional teams and parents/guardians to align on student goals
