In this consultant (1099)/part-time position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a Area Manager, Program Supervisor and fellow educators working with a diverse population of students. This team works with school districts to deliver the highest-quality services, including professional development and parent workshops as it relates to reading and mathematics instruction and various other pertinent topics for teachers and parents of K-12th grade students. As a Professional Development or Parent Involvement Workshop Consultant/Facilitator, you will work closely with program managers, school personnel and parents. This is a great opportunity to take your expertise, creativity and love for teaching to another level. 

Candidates should be able to effectively edit and deliver already-developed innovative workshop content, and also develop new content as needed – based on current educational trends, research and policy.

Consultants/Facilitators will be a part of a collaborative team, but also work independently – working with managers to deliver workshops to teachers or parents as assigned. The school you will present to qualifies for Title I assistance. Candidates must be comfortable presenting in front of small and large groups, encouraging participation and directing activities for the group (average group size of teacher participants is ten). Must possess ability to engage an audience effectively and enthusiastically as well as be an active listener and critical thinker. 

Workshops will be held both in person and virtually. 


  • Liability Insurance required 
  • Special Education Certification required
  • Presentation experience required
  • Active and valid teaching certificate preferred
  • Specialization in Reading and Math content and/or relevant topics related to education
  • Specialization in researching current and trending topics in education (preferred)
  • Experience working with Title I students a plus
  • Flexibility with workshop scheduling, location (weekdays, weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends), and delivery (webinars, coaching, workshops)
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to principals, classroom teachers & parents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Work location is typically in school buildings, where consultant will sometimes need to be able to go up and down stairs
  • Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head
  • Hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer
