We utilize immersive Virtual Reality (VR) to engage, inspire, and open pathways to creative problem-solving to improve student engagement and proficiencies in Math and Science across our country and beyond. THE JOB

Junior Content Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled content and curriculum designer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of math and science content, both in VR and in accompanying materials. The ideal candidate will have a passion for experiential education, learning design, and problem-solving, and the ability to think spatially, systemically, and creatively when designing learning experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design new math and science modules in VR :
    • Research, design, scope, and script standards-aligned learning experiences
    • Lead the production of multiple modules simultaneously
  • Review and refine existing content:
    • Fully own the content of existing modules
    • Make recommendations for changes as needed
  • Develop, refine, and update curriculum materials
    • Create and adjust multimedia materials for teacher and student use
  • Advocate for content integrity, module quality, and continuous improvement
    • Fully own and advocate for the accuracy, depth, and rigor of each module
    • Embrace the iterative nature of high-quality content development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Work closely with content developers, engineers, artists, and instructional specialists to ensure clarity and alignment
    • Communicate frequently and effectively

REQUIREMENTS

  • Commitment to transforming and reimagining STEM education
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • Proven experience in instructional and/or interactive design
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for explaining complex mathematical and scientific concepts clearly and concisely
  • Ability to think spatially and creatively about STEM concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional time management skills; ability to prioritize and handle concurrent projects
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to flexibly meet across time zones (EST and PST)

NICE TO HAVES

  • A background in engineering
  • Familiarity with VR hardware and software, such as Pico, Quest, or similar platforms
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira

  • Full-time role, fully remote or hybrid (if based near our San Francisco office)
