POSITION SUMMARY - Part-Time Weekend CNA
Looking for a rewarding part-time role where your work truly matters? Join our compassionate care team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. This position is ideal for someone seeking weekend hours with the opportunity to pick up an additional weekday shift, averaging 16-20 hours per week.
Under the direction of nursing and medical staff, you will provide hands-on care, comfort, and support to residents in our retirement and nursing community while upholding our Catholic mission and values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties reflect the core responsibilities of this role. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Respond promptly to call lights, bells, and intercom systems to assist residents.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist residents with meals, including serving trays and feeding as needed.
  • Transport residents or assist with walking and mobility.
  • Support nursing staff during examinations and treatments.
  • Reposition residents to ensure comfort and prevent pressure injuries.
  • Change linens and help maintain clean, welcoming resident rooms.
  • Take and document vital signs, food and fluid intake/output as directed.
  • Prepare, clean, and organize medical supplies and treatment areas.
  • Provide courteous assistance to visitors and respond to phone calls.
  • Deliver care that reflects the mission, values, and ethical directives of the Catholic faith.

SCHEDULE
  • Part-time position averaging 16-20 hours per week
  • Weekend availability required
  • Opportunity for an additional weekday shift

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
  • Current Kansas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required
  • One year of long-term care experience preferred

  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and team members
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret safety rules, procedures, and documentation

Math Skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

  • Ability to problem-solve in routine care situations

Technology & Equipment
  • Comfortable using computerized call systems and healthcare equipment
  • Ability to operate general office and healthcare equipment
