UPMC Hanover is accredited by The Joint Commission, including being a Certified Primary Stroke Center. In addition, UPMC Hanover has achieved the status of Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care, and Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus.
Case Assignments
Diverse case mix including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, ENT and ophthalmology. No cardiac or neuro cases. Limited pediatric cases.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
