Maternity Modeling information

What is maternity modeling?

Maternity modeling is a specialized area of modeling where pregnant women showcase maternity clothing, products, or services. These models work in fashion shows, advertisements, catalogs, and online stores to represent brands targeting expectant mothers. Maternity modeling helps brands connect with their audience by featuring real pregnant bodies and promoting body positivity. The work can include photo shoots, runway shows, and promotional campaigns. Models are typically expected to be visibly pregnant, often between 5 and 8 months along, to best display maternity apparel.

What are maternity modeling jobs?

Maternity modeling jobs—also referred to as pregnancy modeling—are modeling jobs where you display apparel and products specifically designed for pregnant women. In this role, you may model the appearance of garments at different stages of pregnancy, provide design input on the fit and comfort of clothing, and demonstrate products made to make pregnancy more comfortable. Maternity models often work through a modeling agency, especially because the time-sensitive nature of pregnancy does not leave a lot of flexibility in booking jobs when companies want models at specific stages of pregnancy. Like other modeling jobs, being a maternity model usually requires remaining fit and active.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a maternity model, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Maternity Model, you need a professional appearance, comfort and confidence in front of the camera, and experience or training in modeling or posing, particularly during pregnancy. Familiarity with industry-standard modeling portfolios, agencies, and digital submission tools is common, as is knowledge of safe posing practices for expectant mothers. Strong communication, reliability, and adaptability help you collaborate effectively with photographers, brands, and creative teams. These skills ensure you represent maternity products authentically while maintaining safety and professionalism on set.

What are some common challenges maternity models face during photoshoots, and how can they prepare for them?

Maternity models often encounter challenges such as fatigue, physical discomfort, and the need for frequent breaks during photoshoots, especially as pregnancy progresses. To prepare, it's helpful to communicate any limitations with the creative team ahead of time, bring comfortable clothing and hydration, and practice gentle posing techniques that showcase the baby bump safely. Collaborating closely with photographers and stylists ensures a supportive environment and helps models feel confident and comfortable throughout the session.

Senior Financial Analyst (Contract – 6+ Months)
Location: Kennesaw, GA
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Overtime required during month-end and quarter-end close)
Pay Rate: $45.00–$50.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Tuesdays onsite are mandatory, with additional onsite days as needed for all-hands meetings and collaboration.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join a fast-paced Operations Finance team supporting a global manufacturing organization. This position was created to provide coverage during a maternity leave while also supporting the company's transition from a traditional cost accounting structure to a more strategic Operations Finance model.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into financial data, identifying trends, explaining business results, and partnering with operations leaders to drive better decision-making. Rather than simply preparing reports, you'll be expected to analyze results, identify issues before leadership does, and bring solutions to the table.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, proactive, thrives in a growing organization, and enjoys telling the story behind the numbers.
What You'll Do
  • Analyze manufacturing and operational financial performance to identify trends, cost drivers, and business risks.
  • Consolidate financial results and develop meaningful reporting packages for Operations Finance leadership.
  • Investigate actual vs. budget and forecast variances and clearly communicate key business drivers.
  • Perform financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, labor, materials, overhead, logistics, tariffs, and operational performance.
  • Prepare and maintain actual and standard product costs for domestically manufactured products.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process including:
    • Journal entries
    • Accruals
    • Account reconciliations
    • Inventory analysis
    • Deferred preservation costs
    • Intercompany profit eliminations
    • Financial statement analysis
  • Review SAP trial balances and financial activity to validate results and identify discrepancies.
  • Develop financial assumptions and support quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range strategic planning.
  • Consolidate large volumes of financial data using Excel and prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Operations leaders to explain business performance and recommend solutions.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as business needs evolve.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and financial controls.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Several years of Financial Analysis, Operations Finance, Cost Accounting, or Manufacturing Finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Manufacturing accounting
    • Cost accounting principles
    • Inventory accounting
    • Financial statement analysis
    • Balance sheet and P&L analysis
    • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations preferred.
  • Ability to explain the "why" behind financial results—not just prepare reports.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate issues and provide recommendations.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel required (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data consolidation, large datasets, financial modeling)
  • SAP experience required
  • Experience with BlackLine strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision is a plus
  • PowerPoint presentation experience preferred
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious and proactive. This isn't a position for someone who simply prepares reports—you'll be expected to analyze financial results, identify what's driving performance, investigate unexpected variances, and present thoughtful recommendations to leadership.
Successful candidates are comfortable asking questions such as:
  • Why are manufacturing costs increasing?
  • What's driving changes in logistics expenses?
  • Why are material costs trending differently than forecast?
  • What story is the balance sheet telling?
  • What actions should Operations consider based on these results?
You enjoy solving problems before they become leadership's problems.
Why You'll Love This Opportunity
  • Join a highly visible Operations Finance team supporting a growing global organization.
  • Work alongside experienced Finance leadership with strong mentorship opportunities.
  • Gain exposure to manufacturing finance, cost accounting, forecasting, executive reporting, and business partnering.
  • Opportunity to make an immediate impact by helping leadership better understand financial performance and operational trends.
Interview Process
  • First Interview: Microsoft Teams with the Hiring Manager and Senior Manager
  • Final Interview: Leadership Team
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately as interviews are underway and the team is looking to have someone start as soon as possible.
