ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Associate Manager, Microsoft 365 Engineer you will support SC Johnson's Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration services through hands-on administration, engineering support, operational improvements, and practical solution delivery. This role partners with service owners, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, managed service providers, vendors, and business stakeholders to help deliver secure, reliable, and supportable productivity solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a hands-on technical resource for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Apps.

  • Design and implement Microsoft 365 solutions that balance user experience, security, cost, supportability, and enterprise standards.

  • Support escalation and resolution of complex Microsoft 365 incidents, service issues, and platform challenges.

  • Contribute to technical standards, service roadmaps, and platform direction in partnership with Microsoft 365 leadership.

  • Support modernization, automation, and continuous improvement efforts across productivity and collaboration platforms.

  • Provide technical guidance to internal team members, project resources, and managed service providers.

  • Partner with cybersecurity, compliance, infrastructure, and architecture teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise requirements.

  • Evaluate new Microsoft capabilities, lead proofs of concept, and recommend practical adoption opportunities for SC Johnson.

  • Support business case development, licensing optimization, vendor engagement, and technical recommendations for investment decisions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science or related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with a global enterprise-level service.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience performing Microsoft 365 administration activities, including but not limited to Exchange Online mailbox administration, distribution list and shared mailbox management, Teams policy and meeting configuration, SharePoint Online and OneDrive permissions support, Microsoft 365 group administration, user/license troubleshooting, service health review, and PowerShell-based reporting or automation.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Experience supporting large or global enterprise environments with distributed users and support teams.

  • Experience supporting technical initiatives from planning through implementation and operational support.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Deep experience in one or more areas: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Copilot, Entra ID, Purview, or PowerShell automation.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 governance, security, compliance, lifecycle management, and adoption practices.

  • Experience working with managed service providers, vendors, and Microsoft support/account teams.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing, service planning, and cost optimization.

  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, share knowledge, influence without direct authority, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time role aligned to United States business hours, with occasional evening meetings to support global collaboration with the Philippines-based team.

  • This role is onsite 5 days per week for the first 90 days. After 90 days, the role is eligible for 1 remote day per week, based on business needs and manager alignment.

  • This role is not eligible for relocation.
