Job description

Essential Duties

  • Review and become familiar with the project drawings and specifications, project contract requirements, and the overall project schedule.
  • Create estimates for project budget and bid numbers.
  • Develop timeline of labor and material/equipment deliveries and allocation for the project.
  • Manage multiple projects and/or multiple trade disciplines (mechanical, sheet metal, plumbing, electrical, insulation, etc.) as determined by the project(s).
  • Manage material, equipment costs, and labor allocations while maintaining quality and project schedule.
  • Manage changes in project scope and costs, and prepare change order estimates, change order requests, and track changes to final execution.
  • Prepare monthly client billings.

Education & Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or related technical field preferred, but not required.
  • PMP certification, Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), or equivalent industry certifications are a plus.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of practical experience in industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing, controls, or related construction and integration projects.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Industrial automation systems, robotics, and automated production equipment.
    • PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial controls, and system integration principles.
    • Equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness processes.
    • Construction sequencing, scheduling, and coordination within active industrial or manufacturing facilities.
    • Project estimating, budgeting, scope development, and change management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management software. Microsoft Office Project preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Bluebeam, estimating software, or similar project tools preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
