Job description

Project Manager / Big Box Retail

Columbus Ohio. We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Project Manager with proven experience in Commercial / Big Box Retail construction to lead and oversee projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Oversee procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Drive project profitability and ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing retail / commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • OSHA certification and PMP preferred.
