A global nonprofit that provides trusted biological materials for science and health, ATCC is hiring Project Manager to support ATCC Federal Solutions in an onsite role based in Manassas, VA. This position serves as a key liaison between ATCC and partner stakeholders, managing project planning, scheduling, deliverables, milestones, reporting requirements, and customer requests.

 The Project Manager oversees all phases of the project lifecycle, applying project management methodologies to support contract performance, customer satisfaction, and efficient execution of contract-funded activities. The role requires strong coordination, communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.  We are seeking a Project Manager, ideally with a life science background, project management experience, and experience supporting customer-focused contract or program environments.   • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities while maintaining alignment with project objectives, scope, and organizational practices.
  • Planning & Coordination: Develop project plans and schedules, coordinate resources, manage tasks, and support successful execution across multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with customers, end users, vendors, and internal teams to understand requirements, communicate project status, and support strategic objectives.
  • Progress & Deliverables Tracking: Monitor milestones, deliverables, budgetary guidelines, and performance indicators to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Risk, Issue & Change Management: Identify, track, escalate, and support resolution of project risks, issues, and changes while partnering with leadership on corrective actions.
  • Process & Governance Support: Establish and maintain project management processes, governance practices, reporting, and documentation to support successful project delivery.

  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or equivalent experience (Master's degree and 3 years, PhD and 0 years, or HS Diploma and 9 years).
  • Proven experience managing all phases of the project lifecycle from planning through execution and delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of project management processes, methodologies, governance, and best practices.
  • Experience tracking milestones, deliverables, budgetary guidelines, and project performance indicators.
  • Demonstrated experience managing risks, issues, change requests, and escalation processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, written communication, collaboration, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate resources, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Preferred: PMP certification.
  • Preferred: Experience with Monday.com
  • Preferred: Experience in life science industry or educational background in biology or related field.

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
