Job description

Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Manager, Materials Planning! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote.
In this role, the Manager, Materials Planning is responsible for leading day-to-day planning activities across materials, inventory, replenishment, and supply planning processes. This position supervises a team of planners and analysts, ensuring the execution of planning strategies that support service, inventory, and cost objectives. The role works closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, and Logistics teams to maintain supply continuity, resolve operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
A Day in the Life...
  • Lead daily planning activities to ensure timely execution of material, inventory, replenishment, and supply plans supporting business requirements.

  • Supervise and develop a team of planners and analysts by providing coaching, performance feedback, training, and workload prioritization.

  • Support the development and execution of supply, inventory, replenishment, and stock transfer plans while balancing service, cost, and inventory objectives.

  • Monitor planning performance and proactively identify risks affecting customer service, production schedules, inventory levels, or material availability.

  • Collaborate with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, R&D, and external suppliers to resolve supply chain constraints and support business priorities.

  • Support the execution of MRP processes, inventory planning strategies, and replenishment activities to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and finished goods.

  • Analyze service, inventory, and supply performance metrics and recommend corrective actions to improve operational performance.

  • Support innovation and product lifecycle initiatives by ensuring material availability and planning readiness for new product launches and transitions.

  • Maintain planning master data and support system integrity to facilitate effective planning processes and decision-making.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Escalate significant supply, inventory, or operational risks and provide recommendations to the Senior Manager, Planning.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience in supply planning, materials planning, inventory management, replenishment, procurement, or related supply chain functions.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience including coaching, mentoring, or direct supervision of team members.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of MRP, inventory management, and supply chain planning principles.

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Results-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

$105,800 - $132,200
