Job description

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate large forklifts or overhead cranes (with proper training) to load/unload master coils or other materials from rail cars and /or trucks.
  • Load/unload slit ribbon material on production line decoilers as defined by the steel loading process.
  • Correctly feed slit ribbon material into the stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
  • Perform routine quality control functions on materials (i.e. thickness, gauge, width, and coating measurements).
  • Monitor production equipment coolant and oil levels and adjust accordingly.
  • Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Other Requirements: Must have an outstanding safety record and follow all safety policies and procedures. Participate in safety training and meetings. Maintain clean and safe work area. Report all injuries/accidents near misses immediately to supervisor or a member of management. Report all unsafe acts and conditions.
