Job description


We are seeking an experienced SIOP Lead to join our Business Systems team. The successful candidate will manage a team of planners responsible for ensuring efficient production planning and material management. This role will play a critical part in leading our Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and Inventory Optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Management: Lead a team of planners responsible for forecasting and developing the master schedule/build plan within our ERP system (Oracle).
  2. Supply Planning: Translate customer forecasts into executable Supply plans and material requirements.
  3. Material Management: Develop and execute strategy related to inventory optimization.
  4. Production Scheduling: Support production scheduling, including schedule recovery, to meet customer demand and business objectives.
  5. Oracle Master Data: Maintain accurate and up-to-date Oracle Master Data, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
  6. Sales Status Tracking: Track current and anticipated sales status for SIOP and to inform production planning, material management and customer focused decisions.
  7. SIOP Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead the SIOP process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
  8. Shop Planning: Support shop planning activities, including capacity planning, material planning, and production scheduling.
  9. MRO Material Forecasting and Supply Planning: Develop and manage MRO material forecasts to support aftermarket repairs and spares operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of materials and components.
  10. Effective Communication: Communicate effectively across multiple levels, including:
* Direct workforce: Provide clear guidance, expectations, and feedback to planners and other team members.
* Sector Leadership: Develop and Present SIOP plans, progress, and insights to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
* Cross-functional teams: Collaborate with other departments such as programs, production, logistics, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective execution.

Required Skills and Education
  • 12 or more years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field and a minimum of a high school diploma, 8 or more years with a Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in production planning, material management, or a related field, with a focus on ERP systems.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving business results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with SIOP processes and shop planning principles.

Preferred Skills and Education
  • 12 years of experience in production planning, material management, or a related field, with a focus on ERP systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Oracle ERP system certification or experience with other ERP systems.
  • Constraint based production scheduling experience
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
