25 hrs/wk, schedule M- F – 8:00 - 1:00

Salary: starting range $16.54 - $20.68. $20.68 is the midpoint of the salary range. Internal equity is used in determining the rate of pay.

Position Details

Are you friendly, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented? Do you like to do a variety of duties? If yes, we may have the perfect position for you! The Addison Public Library is looking for a part-time Materials Management Associate. The primary role of this position is processing, repairing, withdrawing, and assisting in receiving library materials, thereby supporting the public services departments and indirectly serving the library patrons.

What will you be doing:

  • Process and repair library materials.
  • Manage periodicals including checking-in, attaching item records, distributing, claiming, and withdrawing.
  • Assist in ILS and collection maintenance by adding, deleting, and updating records.

What we’re looking for:

  • Attention to detail and organization skills with the ability to follow through with tasks to completion.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • General office skills using a computer with a basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Physical mobility to reach, bend, and lift to shelve and retrieve library material.
