Job description

Zenni Optical is looking forย a detail-oriented and dependable Logistics & Event Support Associate to support both shipping operations and event logistics and execution. This role plays a key role in ensuring day-to-day distribution activities, inventory movement, event preparation, and onsite logistics are completed accurately and efficiently.

This is an hourly onsite support role that works closely with the Distribution, Facilities, and Events teams. Reporting to the Supervisor, Distribution & Facilities, this position will utilize strong organization, communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (overtime may be required based on business volume, including day-of or week-of notice; overtime shifts are typically up to 1.5 hours and may include occasional Saturdays)
Compensation: $20.50 - $26/hour (based on experience)ย 
Location: Novato, Californiaย 

Responsibilities:

Shipping & Logistics

  • Assist with daily shipping and distribution operations
  • Support order processing, packing, labeling, and shipment preparation
  • Help coordinate outbound and inbound shipments with carriers and internal teams
  • Maintain organized inventory, supplies, and shipping materials
  • Support inventory counts, product movement tracking, and warehouse organization
  • Assist with shipment issue resolution, missing packages, and tracking follow-ups
  • Help prepare materials and products for internal and external events
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within shipping and staging areas

Event & Logistics

  • Assist with event preparation, packing, loading, unloading, and post-event breakdown
  • Support event inventory tracking and organization of giveaway items, displays, and materials
  • Help coordinate logistics for trade shows, pop-ups, company events, and internal activities
  • Assist with setup and teardown of booths, displays, signage, and event materials
  • Support transportation and movement of event supplies between locations
  • Ensure event materials are properly packed, labeled, and accounted for before and after events
  • Work collaboratively with the Events, Brand, and Operations teams to support execution needs

Administrative & Team

  • Maintain accurate tracking sheets, logs, and inventory records
  • Communicate status updates, shortages, or operational concerns to leadership
  • Support process improvements and organizational initiatives
  • Follow company safety guidelines and operational procedures
  • Provide flexible support across logistics, facilities, and event-related tasks as needed
  • Positive and collaborative attitude
  • Willingness to learn and support multiple operational areas
  • Strong sense of accountability and follow-through
  • Ability to remain organized under changing priorities
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts - training is provided

Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working in warehouse, office, and event environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient computer skills including Google Suite and inventory management systems (Sortly or something similar)
