Material Tech III

Performs the material handling required to support manufacturing/packaging operations, shipping and receiving.ย  Work includes movement of material to and from warehouses, shipping and receiving areas, operation of UPS equipment, shipping labels, international and domestic shipping procedures, customer specific requirements.ย  Associates will be trained in and perform multiple work assignments.ย  Maintain safe and clean work environment.

Weigh, count, pack, place parts into storage.ย  Remove parts from storage and/or mark information according to internal or external customer requirements.ย  Receives general instruction for Work Group Leader or Material Tech II.ย  Move components and finished goods throughout the plant.ย  Use computer to locate stock, retrieves, identify stock availability.ย  Perform computer transactions to maintain inventory accuracy.ย  Report production.ย  Perform cycle counts.ย  Follow prescribed procedures for preparing reports.ย  Comply with QS 9000 procedures.ย  Calibrate scales to assure accurate counts.ย  Identify when periodic maintenance is required on equipment.ย  Review load sheets for stock availability.ย  Set-up and track shipments to customers as required.ย  Maintain accurate files to trace shipments and receipts.ย ย 

Qualifications

PAY RATE IS $24.36/HOUR - HOURS 5AM TO 1PM Mon-Friday.

  • Must have experience with creation, use, and filing of shipping/receiving documents (Bills of Lading, ASNs, and Shippers Letter of Instructions) as well as scheduling/tracking/dispositioning of shipments with common carriers, 3PLs, and freight expeditors. Previous ERP and TMS system experience is preferred.
  • Must have computer, reading/writing English skills, math skills.
  • Must pass or hold STRATTEC operator driver's license for power driven vehicles.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
