Job description

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for keeping the warehouse inventory accurate, ordering inventory as needed, overseeing all vehicle maintenance and repairs, and getting materials ready for field personnel.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate with installation manager and sales team to prepare materials for jobs.
  • Order material and maintain adequate stock in the warehouse and on the trucks.
  • Will deliver parts to technicians out in the field
  • Accurately perform physical inventory monthly
  • Ensure all materials and equipment for jobs are ordered and in the warehouse prior to the job installation date.
  • Ensure all jobs are pulled for the date required.
  • Ensure installers have what they need for jobs and assist field personnel in timely loading/departures each morning.
  • Transfer items from warehouse to truck or job
  • Maintain regular maintenance on vehicles to ensure safety.
  • Receive purchase orders.
  • Negotiate pricing on purchases.
  • Communicate with suppliers.
  • Check product in from suppliers.
  • Manage dumpster, recycling, and scraping of waste materials.
  • Supervise parts runners' schedules ensuring time is used efficiently.
  • Manage the return and warranty processes.
  • Pull filters for maintenance.
  • Handle special projects and other job duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of warehouse inventory experience, preferred.
  • Ability to use computers efficiently and accurately
  • Experience with Service Titan, a plus!
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • 3 years of clean driving experience
  • Able to pass drug screen and background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to use standard office equipment such as telephone, computer, files, copier, etc.
  • Physical dexterity in limbs and digits to operate hand and power-driven tools and equipment commonly used.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to continually walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, reach in all directions.
  • Ability to maintain balance working off the ground using ladders, scaffolds, and/or mechanical lifts.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work in high, precarious places.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work outside; exposed to heat and cold.
  • Ability to see and read with or without vision aids.
  • Ability to hear and speak to exchange information.
  • Ability to perform maintenance duties and read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
